Season 1, Episode 5: The Devil's Highway
This week we're covering an oldie but a goodie: Luis Alberto Urrea's THE DEVIL'S HIGHWAY. Originally published in the early aughts, this book tells the story of a group of Mexican migrants who attempted to cross the unforgiving Arizona desert. Spoiler: It went terribly for everyone involved.
Unfortunately, this story remains incredibly relevant at the border, and Erika and Clare discuss how not much has really changed in the 21 years since these poor men set out across the desert.

Some people are d-bags
To the dude that left a review claiming he wanted to like it, but took the time to give it 1:5 stars, you’re a dummy. If you wanted to like a random podcast that you didn’t enjoy, why take even more time to leave a review? I love that the creator of this podcast is living rent free in your head. Loser!
On another note, this podcast is fun. One suggestion is to add fun sound effects. More content please.

Would have liked it if it focused on history but modern politics pops up way too much. People tuned in for history not your political views.
