Revolutionary Girl Utena | Classic Shojo Anime | Episode 93 It’s A Yaoi Recipe!

I recently started to watch this anime, I just discovered on Funimation. It looks and sounds good. A classic shojo anime. It had everything I like and the artwork, drawing style is absolutely beautiful! the style is very much similar to my style of drawing. it naturally felt connected to it.
I can’t skip the intro music, I love it. It’s so good. Normally I would skip intro but this anime I don’t.
I like the relationship between Anthy and Utena, you know there is a special connection. it does feel like a yuir/GL. but I like the fact it is not conventional.
I wish I had watched Revolutionary Girl Utena when I was younger but I think I wouldn’t understand the whole theme deeply as a child. I can tell the anime is surreal, fairytale-like (perhaps inspired by European art)
Watching the Revolutionary Girl Utena feel very nostalgic, reminded me of much great anime I watched back in the 90s to early 20s. I felt the anime back then focused more on the plot and the character depth. It felt more high-quality animation because back then everything was hand-drawn. (Rarely used software)
The anime is available to watch on Amazon prime or Funimation. I’m currently watching on Prime. I will consider buying the blue Ray dvd this month (or soon before Christmas)
The anime was aired in spring 1997 (so i was 5 years old when this was released)
