Funny and insightful, easy to listen!

20 minute movie initial reaction show? What a brilliant concept, and done well. Plus, the hosts can’t be beat: they have a seamless flow that is equally funny and insightful. Jill’s background in theatre and story telling and David’s in film editing and behind-the-scenes info (directors, actors, etc.) make for well-rounded, thoughtful, informative and fabulous podcasts. They find a great balance between intellectual and gut-reaction/emotional reviewing that is neither pretentious nor sappy.

Super appreciate the casual nature of their discussion; you feel like you’re in the car with them. And the humor is spot on.

I even listen to podcasts for films I either probably won’t see, or haven’t seen yet (I’m not stressed about spoilers, personally) because it’s just that fab and funny.

Smart & Funny

It's like being in the car with close friends for the smart reflective conversion you wish you were able to have every time you exit the movie theater. The perfect duo with a keen eye for catching interesting themes, putting into words why a scene was dissapointing, and making some pretty funny and/or insightful observations along the way. I even like listening to the episodes for the movies I most likely won't see (Hereditary) becuase it's just that interesting.

I love this podcast.

I've been listening to this podcast on my commute and cannot stop! Jill and David are so warm, thoughtful, and insightful that it's like being a part of a great conversation, which is when this medium is at its best. The format is super tight, the episodes are really digestible, and the delivery is smart without being condescending. It also makes me want to watch the movies I haven't seen that they review or reference because I want to hear as much as I can out of these two. Streaming and film-going services should really sponsor this podcast or give them their own channel. I would sign up for any subscription that highlights and promotes this sort of discussion around film. Thanks so much for making it!
