Challenging and Encouraging

Longtime pastor and personal friend of mine, Mike Booth, challenges believers to go beyond Sunday mornings, by taking a look at the meaning of the word "disciple." This podcast was a challenge and encouragement to me. I recommend this podcast to anyone who wants to be a follower of Jesus Christ!

When It's All Beem Said and Done.

Believing that there is a day coming when all that we have placed so much money, time and effort into building (houses, possessions, bank accounts) will be burned up, if you truly follow Jesus, then you really won't resemble the world. Even the model of American "Christianity" which doesn't even portray Biblical truth, sadly we equate "blessing" with what can be measured in health, wealth and success.

Normal in the Midst of Abnormal

Christianity has become soo sub-normal that when we see people following Jesus according to the way he and his disciples clearly showed in the Scriptures, we would call this abnormal or strange.

Looking at a mid 60s pastor who "had it all" in light of the American ministry dream - a thriving mega church with millions of dollars in the bank and beautiful buildings sustained by loyal members - watching this pastor leave all that behind in order to truly fulfill the great commission by making disciples who make disciples's and planting churches that plant churches IS NORMAL

Although many would call Mike Booth abnormal, say he's crazy or strange. He is simply following Jesus the normal way that every person should follow Jesus.

These are fantastic insights from Mike's decades in the word over the years, and practical obedience to Jesus in his everyday life
