    714.5 Dungeon Master's Diary #50 (Part 2): RuneQuest Revelations

    714.5 Dungeon Master's Diary #50 (Part 2): RuneQuest Revelations

The Roleplay Rescue Dungeon Master’s Diary features me, a microphone, and whatever gaming-related nonsense flows from my mind. This is recorded in short snippets throughout the week and then roughly edited together to form a diary of one man’s journey in gaming, shared week-by-week. It’s raw, glaringly personal, and not everyone’s cup of tea. Somehow, we've made it to 50 episodes of this tripe, so that is some kind of an achievement. This week I have split it in to two halves: this is Part 2 which features the post-Glorantha Games thoughts and a lovely call-in to round things out.

Special thanks to Barney D for his contribution to this episode. Game on!

713 Satanic Panic with Peter Laws

713 Satanic Panic with Peter Laws

Peter Laws is an ordained minister with a fascination for the macabre, an author, journalist, film critic, public speaker, and regular writer for Fortean Times. He is the creator of the Matt Hunter novel series and the host of the Creepy Cove Community Church podcast - an immersive, horror-themed ‘church service’, broadcast from the mysterious fishing town of Creepy Cove. Besides from horror, Peter is said to hail from somewhere down south and enjoys retro TV and Krispy Kreme donuts.

This episode crosses a divide which I have always felt is a false one: the division between fiction and reality, between movies and the creativity of imaginative games. Hear Peter and I discuss horror movies, the development of Creepy Cove, Dungeons & Dragons, Jack Chick, reasons why people collect horrific memorabilia, and what it means to enjoy fiction.

Fair warning: We do touch on some dark places and don’t shy away from some difficult questions.

Big thanks to Peter Laws for willingly crossing the podosphere and doing the interview. Game on!

Che is Me

Che Webster and I are the same person loving in different bodies. I was going to make a similar podcast but it would just be this podcast with an American accent.

Roleplaying and Rescuing

This podcast is not just for returning and lapsed gamers. There is a wealth of information for continuing gamers and people new and old to the hobby. Highly recommended if you want an excellent array of topics about RPGs and the people surrounding the hobby.

Get out of my head, Che.

Seriously, it’s creepy how many opinions and tastes in gaming we have in common.
