    Ask, Tell

    Ask, Tell

In this episode, we discuss Ask, Tell by E.J. Noyes.
Amid the oppression of the U.S. government's Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, Army Surgeon Capt. Sabine Fleischer is busy in Afghanistan, patching up injured bodies while keeping her crush on her commanding officer under surgical wrap. Forced to internalize her struggles so she doesn’t face career ending consequences for revealing her sexuality, Sabine battles personal challenges related to finding her place in the military, from which she feels increasingly isolated. And, while her commanding officer Col. Rebecca Keane seems to be dropping hints that she returns Sabine’s interest, the timing could not be worse. Taking a risk for love may not be worth it if it means ruining both of their livelihoods.

Fun!

I haven't listened to everything yet, but I have listened to enough to say I am really enjoying myself. Romance ME reviews a wide variety of romance genres, so you are bound to find something you like. They are really good recappers/storytellers, they they a nice discussion in the end of every episode. A couple of my favorite episodes, that I think are good to start with, are Spoiler Alert, Beach Read, The Duke Who Didn't, Book Lovers, Corsair's Captive, Firelight, Dragon Bound, and Wicked and the Wallflower.

Fun and informative

I’ve only listened to one episode, but already love the fun the reviewers are having. Great pace. Excellent and thorough review. Feel like I read the book myself! Lots of thoughtful insights regarding the writing, the time the story was written and the influence the current times would have on the story. Thanks! Looking forward to continuing listening!
