198 - After Ever Happy
"What does it even mean?"
This week's hottest movie is After Ever Happy. This movie has everything: a whiny Hardin who is literally burning down the house, a fed-up Tessa who has totally had enough of his shit, and a funeral director with the bushiest mustache you've ever seen.

197 - Beautiful Disaster
"You can't run away to find yourself."
Join the gang while we break down Sac High's production of "After"...But like if "After" took place in an underground fight club. Yeah. It's pretty much exactly that. This movie is TRASH. But we still found a lot to love in this horrific look at what high schooler's think adult life is like. But listen, at the end of the day. We just didn't know "Sweet Life" had it like that and Paige will never be the same.

196 - Knocked Up
"A one night stand that turned into something more."
2007's most problematic movie is Knocked Up. This movie has everything: Katherine Heigl, managing a career and pregnancy, yet she's the villain. Seth Rogen? A walking red flag, yet we're meant to root for him. And Paul Rudd with Leslie Mann, whose marriage has more issues than a comic book store. Dive in as we unpack this comedic onion that makes you laugh and wince.

194 - The Girl Next Door
"Matt never saw her coming... but all his friends had!"
Join the gan this week while we break down a movie Paige loved back in the day. Do Mikey and Todd find the movie as charming as Paige once did? Does Paige think the movie still holds up? Do we think Timothy Olyphant was on his way to an Ace Ventura look a like contest while filming this movie. You'll have to listen to find out.

200 (minus a couple vacation) episodes of Mikey
It’s been a while since I tried pulling a fast one and gotten Mikey to read another one of my reviews, so I figured this was my last shot.
I speak for the tens of podcast listeners in the world (you know, because podcasts are a dying medium) when I say I will miss the sound of your voice twice a week (in a non-creepy way). Ever since you guest hosted on Horror Virgin, your laugh was distinctive and infectious to the listeners. Your vulnerability and insight on films and the sometimes serious nature was always appreciated.
You will be missed, and I’m glad you didn’t get Highlandered. In the Thing episode of Horror Virgin, when you said you might join permanently and that you’d let them know, I feel like we have the answer after nearly 75 billion hours (not confirmed actual time) in over 475 episodes between the two shows.
Thanks for all the memories,
Miggy-Mack
PS. Read this in the Macho Man voice or as Confederate Ouija Soldier.
Chemistry of the hosts makes the pod
The chemistry and ability of Todd, Mikey, and Paige to “yes and…” each other into wild tangents is so charming and wildly fun as they take us through the rom coms we love to hate. This is the ONLY podcasts that’s made me literally LOL in public. (Pro tip: maybe skip the episodes of the movies you still actually love. You may never look at them the same way again.)
Sad to see Mikey go, but I’m positive Todd and Paige will still bring all the jokes, opinions, fun facts, and hot takes I love.
