Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Occupation - Soviet Comic Science Fiction

The hosts talk about a classic Soviet comic science fiction film Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Occupation (Иван Васильевич меняет профессию) directed by Leonid Gaidai in 1973.
The film has a time-travel machine, singing horses, Ivan the Terrible in modern times, as well as a thief and a building manager from Soviet union times ruling Russia back in the 1500s. This movie crazy and we loved it.

Informative and funny

Being Russian and moving to the USA at a young age, I am familiar with the things they discuss but still learn some new things! I also love getting the Americans reactions on things 😆

Interesting but liberal

I listened to one show and I found it interesting but you could tell the Americans were definitely liberal and then the Americans insulted president trump and made fun of Floridians.

Great podcast

A couple Americans talking to a Russian about her experiences growing up over there. Really interesting and amusing. There’s some crazy stories, like cooking rotten potatoes in a tire fire. It’s a great casual listen, even if you’re not that interested in Russia. Check it out!
