RV Maintenance 101... 201 & 301 included Wandering RV Show

    • Places & Travel

We just thought this was going to be easy! In this episode we walk through a step by step guide to sanitize your RV tanks, but things don’t go according to plan and we end up mockdocking a little longer than expected.

Check out all the shenanigans!

Sanitization Recipe:
2 cups bleach
5 gallons water

Mix the bleach and water together in a bucket. Set RV water pump to draw from outside into the fresh tank (sanitization mode). Add mixture to the RV fresh tank. Then turn RV to fill the fresh tank mode. Then fill the fresh tank with water until full. Turn RV to dry camp mode but bypass the water heater. Turn on all sinks, shower, and washer (as applicable) until you smell bleach. Then turn all water sources off and leave the mixture to set for at least 8 hours. Empty fresh tank by turning on all sinks and shower again. Then flush fresh tank until no bleach smell remains. Empty grey tank as needed and repeat the flush until the fresh tank is fully clear of bleach.
