Before marriage, our lives are all about independence and survival. When we get married, there's a sudden shift we have to make: from "me" to "we." There's a power-struggle of two "me's" trying to become "we." As a culture, we've bought into this lie that marriage is for "me," and when it doesn't work, we bail. In reality, marriage is for God's glory, and it's a picture of two people mirroring the way Christ loves the church. Not only that, but through having children, it's an opportunity to raise up the next generation to be leaders - in marriage, in parenting, in loving God.
In today's episode, host Taylor Phillips is joined by Author and Worship Leader Kaley Thompson to talk about her new book "Matrimony, Motherhood & Me" and how we can thrive in all areas.
