S1E25: Tara Baker, 21 Years Later Classic City Crime

    • True Crime

Classic City Crime Podcast returns for 2022 by honoring and remembering the life of Tara Louise Baker on a day which marks 21 years since the UGA Law Student was brutally murdered in Athens, Georgia. While her family still has no answers, they have hope that through advocacy and continued faith, justice will be served in some form.

Host Cameron Jay sits down with the Baker siblings to discuss their memories of their sister, how they plan to honor her on what is not only over two decades since her death, but what will be another birthday Tara isn't here to celebrate. They also discuss their new work with the family of murder victim Rhonda Sue Coleman to seek legislative change for homicide victims' families. You can learn more at www.facebook.com/gavictims.

The episode ends with the return of Mrs. Virginia Baker, still Tara's mother. She reminds us of how much her daughter was loved, how the unknown still haunts her, and what her advice would be to other grieving parents feeling alone this time of year.

Hosted, written and produced by Cameron Jay (@LifeofCameron). Original design by Kyle Kizziah (@Haizzik). Research assistance by Elizabeth Durusau. Intro music exclusively for CCC by Ryan McDaniel.
