Knock Knock is a true crime podcast, hosted by Jason B. Jones, featuring real stories of the families and communities that have lived through the horror of an unsolved murder. Season 1 tells the story of Jason's grandmother, Betty Jones, who was murdered alongside her friend, Kathryn Crigler. In Season 2, we introduce another family that is desperately seeking answers to their loved one's cold case. Love the heart + message!!
I am so glad to have come across this podcast. What an incredible story! I especially loved hearing from Betty’s namesake and the power behind her name. I can relate to that personally.
My reason for 4 stars is because the ads were pretty repetitive and disruptive to the play; I’m
used to ads, so that’s not my issue. It’s more of an editing issue to be aware of for ease of listening. I believe it was S1E6 that had rough ad placement that repeated itself back to back.
But seriously, LOVE this podcast 💜

I grew up in Starkville and still have close ties to the community I am proud to say I call home. I did not know Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Crigler well. My father’s barber and beauty salon (Synnott’s Barber & Beauty Shop) was across the street from Mrs. Crigler’s home. Mrs. Crigler was a weekly customer. I would see Mrs. Jones on campus occasionally (I worked on campus) and was there several times Mrs. Crigler came in for her hair appointment.
This horrible crime horrified me! I was still in Starkville at the time. My mom had been widowed a couple of years and I was petrified the sicko May strike again! I too lived alone, so I worried for myself as well.
Jason, you did a fabulous job!! I know Mrs. Jones would be thrilled! I recently listened to the podcast for the second time and enjoyed it more the second time—I think just because I knew that awful man was locked up!
Have begun listening to Season 2! Stay tuned for my review!

We lived two doors down from this house
My husband and I were in our mid-twenties in 1990 and lived two doors down from where this happened. We were scared half to death because no one knew who did this horrible thing. We saw the police cars outside the night it happened. So sad. Just a horrific murder that has stayed with me for all of these many years.
