S2 E4: THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY IS HUMAN AFTER ALL - with John Walsh, CTO, Fujitsu Ireland Where the Needle Lands

    • Tech News

In today's episode, we are speaking with John Walsh, CTO of Fujitsu Ireland, where they promote a Human Centric Intelligent Society, meaning the key emphasis being that people are placed first and then the technology design. We learn how the Japanese company has its particular approach to doing business. John also talks of how an optimised integration approach is the force that enables tech companies to leverage what is already available and possibly avoid needless large capital investment. What is hyperconnectivity all about and do we really need to be end to end connected as a society? And the extension of 5G to 5GE. There has never been a more exciting time in history where ICT is concerned, for eg. where large scale complex medical research can be completed in days rather than years now. As tech grads qualifications transcend all borders in the world, John gives tips on the winning formula for employee retention and the traits he looks for in the workplace and ‘diversity of mindsets’ being one, because “When the only tool that you have is a hammer - every problem looks like a nail."

about John’s career in Fujitsu and the business of ICT from minutes 2 to 9.
about telecoms and the revolution of 5G and the Internet of things from minutes 9 to 19.
