S2, Ep 3- Live from Walnut Creek: You Gotta Have Heart Live Well and Thrive

    • Mental Health

Welcome to “Live Well and Thrive,” a podcast recognizing the hard work, dedication, and diversity of our team at Kaiser Permanente Northern California. I’m your host Carrie Owen Plietz, coming to you live from our Walnut Creek Medical Center.
During the pandemic, we had no choice but to “live in the moment.” And while these three years have tested our resilience, it also led many frontline employees to leave their jobs due to burnout. So, as we rebound, the question we all face is, how can we reduce stress, build resiliency, and get fulfillment from our jobs?
One way is through our program called HeartMath, which is fitting, given today is Valentine’s Day and there’s no better day to share a special gift to help you on your journey to self-care and well-being. Today we have three guests to talk about HeartMath and how our frontline employees use it.
Guests: Sheva Carr, Co-Director of HeartMath Healthcare; Linda Ackerman DNP, RN, Kaiser Permanente Northern California Caring Science Director; Amealya Blake, RN, BSN, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan
HeartMath resources and session schedule: https://sp-cloud.kp.org/sites/MindfulHub/SitePages/HeartMath.aspx
