S3 E4: GenderMeowster with TransCapybara My Dad Stole My Limelight

Once upon a recent time, LD was a guest on Genderful, a talk show about gender hosted by GenderMeowster (they/them), a nonbinary Twitch streamer, YouTuber, Podcaster, and more! It was such a pleasure to sit and talk with Meowster and a special privilege to be welcomed into such a wonderful space on the internet.
In this week’s episode, I got to flip it and host GenderMeowster and their wife TransCapybara (she/her) on My Dad Stole My Limelight to talk about their coming out experiences.
We discuss the comradery of how many people have hatched throughout the pandemimoore, and how Meowster has cultivated a welcoming, wholesome space on the internet for anyone who feels that is the space for them, to join their discord and meet folks, learn by watching their talk show and connect with others in the trans and non-binary community.
Meowster discusses coming out as lesbian and then later coming out as non-binary (a theme we often discuss and like to stress in the podcast is that you can come out as one thing now and another thing later and that is okay!) and that this made things more complex when their gender identity isn’t more “solidly in the category of woman, so what is it?” and the “interesting dance” they continue to make as they embark on their HRT journey and how that evolves their experience further.
As mentioned, Meowster is joined by their wife TransCapybara, who also discusses her coming out journey. The two guests talk about the beautiful ways their coming out experiences intertwine with their relationship and marriage with each other (which is the most gorgeous, couple goals, true love story) and I am beyond blessed to have shared this conversation with them both.
Both guests this week are here to tell you it gets better. They are living, walking, talking, wonderful proof that they have landed in the “it got better category” and they share that so much with me and you lovely listeners this week. How lucky are we?
