One of the best interviews I have ever heard on a podcast. Rafael Cortes is wonderful. May God richly bless him.
The best!

I was able to spend some time with Father Brian and Father Louie at the border a little bit ago and I’ve been listening to the podcast ever since. They are both wonderful people and I can’t wait for the next season to come out!

Dear Fathers Louie and Brian, At the end of May, I completed 11 months on the Border — for me, one more privileged time of listening to the stories of immigrants, and simply being with them. I happened to catch your “goodbye” bonus epidode as I, an rscj approaching 87, am moving toward semi-retirement after frequent visits to the border in the Diocese of Brownsville since 2012, often in the company os Sisters from US and elsewhere. I hope to write to each of you soon—thank you for your ministry of “encounter and closeness.” With affection and gratitude in Christ, your Sister, Rose Quilter rscj PS Your podcast reflecting on the tragic events of May 8th AND the simple human joys amid an often chaotic and shifting situation capture what I have witnessed on the border better than any other news story or account. Thank you for simply being with our brothers and sisters in this reality. May it continue to shape our lives!

Educational, powerful, moving. Really useful look into what the church is doing in the Rio Grande Valley. Every interview was fascinating and moving.
