Customer Reviews
Insightful and Unique
I’m not generally a sports person, but a friend recommended this pod to me as something accessible to anyone- y’all give good breakdowns of events in the sports scene that anyone can understand and engage with. Anime Book Club provides levity and even more accessibility- blending two incredibly popular things that don’t see much overlap in media.
However, your episode concerning the murder of George Floyd (“are you ready to listen now?”) is what really elevated the podcast in my eyes.
i think it's really cool that you guys use your platform to highlight education reform, it's a large part of the systemic problem that isn't really brought up much in the conversation rn bc there is so much (warranted) focus on the more glaringly broken law enforcement issues. i also think it's good on y'all using your space to further the conversation, using your platform to speak out against injustices.
Overall, the pod is accessible, witty, and insightful. Mylz, JT, and Jon all have contagious personalities that shine even through the mic, and I can earnestly recommend the pod to anyone with even a passing interest in the politics and dynamics of the sports world.
