SC 16 THE PINK UNICORN with Kilara Sen Some Kind of Comedian

    • Comedy Interviews

Japanese-born, USA-inspired, Kilara is a one-of-a-kind stand-up comic performing her craft in a conservative culture. In a country where people don’t typically talk about their problems and where it’s unacceptable to “poke fun” at others, Kilara has had to evolve and adapt her comedy into a “safe zone” for Japanese audiences. But, all that may be changing as the online world is rapidly bringing a diversity of opinions and previously off-limits conversations to the forefront of Japanese consciousness.

Her credits and comic work include: Contestant on Asia’s Got Talent; Finalist on Flappers Comedy Club, Burbank, CA; Finalist on Who’s Got Talent, sponsored by Japan Connects Hollywood; and Guest on How Hollywood Eats Japan.
