Scarjo A Go-Go is the podcast where we chronicle and dissect the films of Scarlett Johansson one-by-one in chronological order, learning everything there is to know about her career and her craft as she grows from tiny nugget to A-list actor. It is presented with respect, humour, and academic rigor. And we only ever refer to her by the reductive "Scarjo" in the title/theme song, because it rhymes. Ms. Johansson, we salute you!

Scarjo A Go-Go Episode 28: He's Just Not That Into You, or, "Four Things"

This week I analyse Scarlett Johansson's performance in the star-packed women-are-like-this-and-men-are-like-this broad gender stereotype comedy (!?) He's Just Not That Into You. Will Scarlett break the slump and be given a character with something to do? Does this film, based on a self help book, have something insightful to say? Will I, like the titular "he" be just not that into it? Download here! This week Woody Allen gets his third chance to work with Scarlett Johansson in the critically acclaimed Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Scarjo A Go-Go Episode 25: The Other Boleyn Girl or "Natpo A Go-Go"

This week Scarlett Johansson is in serious danger of being eclipsed by Natalie "Natpo" Portman in the droll history soap opera The Other Boleyn Girl. Which one of them will win over Aussie bogan King Eric Bana, and who will end up with their head on a stake? Find out as I pull this film completely apart and find out what makes it tick! Scarjo A Go-Go Episode 21: Scoop, or, "Leading the Muse"

Scarjo A Go-Go Episode 21: Scoop, or, "Leading the Muse"

This week Woody returns, following up the wonderful indulgence-free with Match Point with a very indulgent Scoop! What does he have in mind for the focus of our ongoing study -  the mighty Scarlett Johansson - this time around? Can she comfortably tackle a comedy? And why is everybody so cagey about the idea of a "muse". We've got an awful lot to talk about! Download here! Scarjo A Go Go Episode 23: The Prestige, or, "The Accomplice"!

This week I take you behind the curtain and expose the secrets of magician Christopher Nolan when Scarlett Johansson is saddled with the unwieldy The Prestige. Will she manage something memorable or will she drown under layers and layers of plot? I'm going to uncover it all - even if my opinions on this film aren't too popular... Download here! Super fun

I love listening to this when I run. It sounds bizarre, but listening to Scarlett grow up through her film career has really helped me with my marathon training. Thanks for the great podcast!

A must listen!

I came for the Scarjo. I stayed for the host. He's a true American treasure even if he doesn't know it.

This guy is a brilliant writer and each episode is both insightful and hilarious. I'm not really a Scarjo super fan, and never dreamed I would want to spend who knows how many hours listening to a tribute to her...and yet after hearing one, I binge listened to every episode and can't wait to hear more.

The format is more like an essay than your typical podcast, but it works perfectly. I could go on and on about it, but really you should just start from episode one and give it a listen!
