Ep 231 // When you start something new!

Ep 231 // When you start something new!

When you start something new there can be an 'alarm reaction' from the body. A new training stimulus or maybe it's the time of your life that is the 'new thing'! Either way it can be as equally challenging as exciting and motivating to start something new. Over the years we've both (Tim and Jacko) played with many different types of training and sports and often made similar mistakes!
    .
But we have learned some lessons over the years and we are both embarking on some new challenges at the moment (Tim with CrossFit and Jacko with ultra marathons) and we hope those lessons can help you nagivate a smoother path when you embark on any new pursuits.

Playas!!! HA HA HA

The intro is great. Never change it. This is hands down my favorite podcast for subduing the body.

Solid advice and reasoning

I’ve listened to this podcast for a little over a year. I’m a bodyweight trainer at heart, but I love the fact they welcome and discuss a variety of training styles, backgrounds and approaches. And the evolution of the podcast in 2021 only makes sense. It’s about moving your body, being well, and moving well far into your advance years. I’m focused more now on investing in my physical pension vs what at the moment seems sexy or fun. It’s a marathon and these guys, along with amazing guests, will keep you fit at any age.

Amazing podcast

Tim and Jacko really know how to put on an informative, relevant, and incredibly entertaining podcast. The latest few episodes regarding the pandemic are very relevant and I’m grateful for having heard them. Above all, lately there has been a focus on proper expectations and reality within the fitness world. I applaud their realistic community-based approach and prioritizingtraining longevity and well-being over vanity.
