SciFi on Trial is a podcast debate designed to determine the true mettle of poorly received science fiction classics. We put the way films are remembered on trial, in a sincere attempt to find love for all things sci-fi. We scrub away the consensus of fandom, eliminate the expectations, and look at films with fresh eyes to see if their reputation has done them justice. Hosted by SciFi synthpop musician Jesse Mercury, each episode features a panel discussion as well as outside interviews from SciFi fans.

The Guardians Verdict (Ted Talkin’ with Baby Dan)
Jesse and Baby Dan discuss the verdict for the trial of Guardians of the Galaxy, and reveal what’s coming up next time. They also brainstorm a new podcast idea.
I found the concept of this podcast intruiging. Take a scifi show/movie and see if it truly earns the positive/nagative praise it received at the time of release. Tending to concentrate more on shows/films that were received poorly, I just love seeing how things have changed. This is one podcast that I find myself conversing with while driving... agreeing with, or not aggreeing with, most vehemently. It really is just very, very fun.
Sci-fi on Trial 4 Prez!!
I loving listen to Jesse's rotating rogues gallery of panelists discus the virtues or lack there of for some of my favorite (and some guilty pleasures) sci-fi movies. It feels like I'm right there in the room with them! So fun and engaging! Don't miss out!
Guilty Pleasures, Overlooked Gems, Good SciFi?
Like seeing a great or flawed or horribad movie with friends and then discussing over drinks. Jesse and his panel are thoughtful SciFi fans with good insights on the genre, but can also appreciate the nostalgia or popcorn value of a movie. Wide range of criteria, good variety of opinions, plenty of room for highbrow and humor. Sometimes I'll watch a movie and play along at home, but I've also thoroughly enjoyed the discussion on a movie I can't stand and never intend to see again.
