I love the banter between Josh and Jill. They keep it REAL and aren’t afraid to shy away from the conversations of what it really takes to grow your business. I love this podcast!

I love this podcast! The episodes answered questions I had floating around in my head. Some of which I didn’t even know how to put into words. From everything on changing your mindset about money, not keeping yourself small, and finding your tribe. And true to the name, they really did make me want to and actually go through with quitting my full time job and turning my blog into a online business.

Worth A Listen

After listening to a number of their podcasts, I can see both brilliance and a couple of opportunities for growth. I love how Josh steals from T Harv Eker’s Secret’s of the Millionaire Mindset. I also appreciate the mom/work balance Jill is navigating (welcome to the world of being a working mom, Jill; it’s no cakewalk, girl — but by bending, flexing and pivoting to live in situational management, and you’ll turn out a wonderful human being to the world).

I do wish Jill would knock of the swearing. It seems self indulgent, doesn’t add to the conversation, and seems almost for the sake of attention seeking. She makes excellent points, is clearly very bright, has excellent intentions, but dropping the F bomb in the middle of her point for “cool value” is distracting for her point. She’s above that. Hope she comes to that conclusion.

The other area for growth is to modernize and expand their understanding of what PR is. It is not publicity. That’s a drastically, very outdated (1930s) and limiting understanding of the field. Media relations only makes up about 7 to 12 present of what PR pros do. PR should serve your organization by using all functions — from media relations to marketing to public affairs to identify, build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with the stakeholders that interact with or could be impacted by your organisation (spelled this way for Josh). Practice that modern concept of PR, and you have a very dynamic approach to building long-lasting business.
