B-Wagz Returns! Plus Alabama Pro Day Prospects
Bobby Wagner is back with the Seahawks! Brent Taylor, editor at the Alabama Crimson Tide SB Nation site Roll Bama Roll, joins us to talk about the return of Bobby as well as the Alabama Pro Day from last week. There's one player, particularly in terms of his versatility, that Brent has his eye on. Two Alabama players are expected to go in the top 5, and may even go before Seattle picks, as Will Anderson and Bryce Young are two of the top college players on defense and offense respectively. But should the Seahawks move up to take Young or take him if he slides to the 5th spot? Brent has a strong opinion on this based on his comparisons to Russell Wilson's game.
Check out Brent's article from June of 2022 on Brian Branch:

Seahawks and Geno notch a big contract win, positions to target in free agency
Initial reports had Geno Smith earning $52 million in the first year of his deal reached this past week. It turns out that those numbers were structured intentionally to make the deal sound much bigger. Once the details were announced, it turns out to be a very team-friendly deal for Seattle and a deal that could reward Smith if he continues to play at the level from the 2022 season.
Free agency kicks off this week and we talk about why not to expect the Seahawks to make a big splash. The areas that would offer them the greatest opportunity for improvement aren't positions that cost a lot in free agency if you stay away from the biggest names. We discuss some linebacker and defensive line targets on defense as well as a familiar name at cornerback. On the offensive side, center and guard are a need after Austin Blythe retired and Gabe Jackson was released. Plus, they could use a veteran wide receiver as long as they stay away from the biggest names who will command $10 million or more per season.
In the second half of the show, we talk about the Carolina Panthers trade up to the top spot in the draft and how that could impact the Seahawks. Would it be more likely to trade out of the fifth pick or the 20th spot? We take a look at the quarterback landscape as the hype around Anthony Richardson seems to have improved his draft outlook.
We close the show with a discussion around the Geno Smith contract as it compares to Derek Carr and Daniel Jones. The Arizona Cardinals and DoorDash need to Do Better. Better at Life awards go out to a Hall of Fame head coach and an outstanding NFL general manager.

They have the switch flipped
To have a good podcast you have to have a switch. A switch that you can turn on and off when you want…but really the switch should always be on but you need to turn it on when it’s off. This podcast’s switch is never off even when they have to turn it on
More Adam and Brandan, no Clinton
I’m a long-time listener, and can verify that Adam and Brandan really know their stuff and host one of the best football podcasts out there! I think it’s great that they’re trying to expand the content - keep gettin them checks! But dear god please get Clinton Bonner out of my feed! Dude can hardly string a sentence together, doesn’t have an original take, and has no business in podcasting. At the very least, put each new show in its own feed, so I can just keep getting the same old show with the original hosts and don’t have to worry about skipping all the episodes with content I don’t care for! If you’re making a podcast network more power to ya, but set it up right and give me back my OG Adam and Brandan!
Top Shelf Podcast
I've been listening to your episodes for a while now and you guys are by far the best Seahawks podcast. And, since Seahawks podcasts are the best kind, you are guys are automatically the best podcast in my book. A little about me, im a college runner and you guys have been such a blessing to me. I am in the middle of some long mileage training for cross country season this fall and your podcasts on my runs whenever I can and they honestly help get me through them a lot of the times.
You guys have great chemistry and I look for forward to Brandon's transitions and Adams rants every week. While college is expensive, look for a donation coming soon.
Go Hawks!
