Sometimes decent research leading to inane conclusions

If you are the type of person who hears a news story and always asks the question “but how does this affect me personally?” this might be the podcast for you (DEROGATORY). A special crime against humanity is the episode “Why don’t we eat people?” in which they bravely ask the question Jonathan Swift assumed you already knew was a grotesque premise. I couldn’t finish the episode because a normal person should be able to explain to their child why cannibalism is wrong without involving a podcast.
For the curious

This is THE podcast for you if you’re curious about our world, how it works and, mostly, why. Each episode starts with a “simple” question and then the “answers” reveal even more interesting and important questions. Isn’t our world amazing?!?!? The best part is that the show walks us along this path in a delightful way. This episode on inflation is a great example. I almost skipped it because “I know a lot about inflation already!“ but I learned a lot in a really succinct way.
