Searching the Scriptures #25: The Sabbath, A to Z (Part III)

Searching the Scriptures #25: The Sabbath, A to Z (Part III)

In this third installment of my three-part series about Shabbat, I present guidelines for observing the seventh day. These guidelines are derived from Scripture alone, not from Jewish tradition.

During the intro, I ask that my listeners check out the Kickstarter for my new novel, Reign of the Rebel. Here's the link to that Kickstarter: http://kck.st/2vZSDiX

Searching the Scriptures #24: The Sabbath, A to Z (Part II)

Searching the Scriptures #24: The Sabbath, A to Z (Part II)

In this second installment of a miniseries about Sabbath, I unpack the Bible verses which detractors leverage to fool the unstudied into believing that the Sabbath has been either abolished or altered. You'll learn that none of these verses, taken in proper context, say what Christian teachers claim that they say. I finish the episode by offering quotes from the people who claim to have officially altered God's sacred day.

Searching the Scriptures #23: The Sabbath, A to Z (Part I)

This is everything you need to know about the Creator's set-apart day. Is Sabbath (Hebrew: Shabbat) the first day or the seventh? Should Christians concern themselves with it? Did Jesus disregard Shabbat?

Searching the Scriptures #22: Nephesh & Neshamah

In this episode I talk dragons, blood, and living souls. Sounds like an episode of Game of Thrones. Who says the Bible is boring?

Searching the Scriptures #21: The April Fools' Edition

What do Star Trek, Monty Python, and Airplane have to do with each other? Not much, but you're going to get dosed with all three. Oh, and you'll learn more about the Book of Genesis, or whatever.

Searching the Scriptures #20: Teatime with Taylor

Searching the Scriptures #20: Teatime with Taylor

Today you get to be a fly on the wall as I chat with my friend, Taylor Joseph. He's a layperson who has been involved as a VIP volunteer for the Hear the Watchmen conferences. I'll be having some of the Hear the Watchman speakers come on as guests in the near future, but I think it's also nice to hear from the "average Joe" sometimes, to get a non-ministerial perspective on the state of the Kingdom. This episode goes from sober to silly and back again.

Eschatology Tackler

I've studied prophetic end-times perspectives for quite a few years now, yet I kept getting discouraged because of the many conflicting & non-harmonizing views. The Watchman has emphasized the importance of approaching the scriptures from a Hebraic & moedim perspective--something I've started to realize just a couple years ago myself. After having thrown out the pre- & mid- rapture theory long ago, his refreshing Hebraic case for it happening before all is said and done, is the most compelling I'd ever heard. It's relieving how he doesn't limit the inspired scriptures to the arbitrary Protestant canon of 66 books, like so many other prophecy buffs do.
Also, 2 Baruch is a book I had to go through again because of the incredible well-researched, multi-episode walkthrough series of it that he has done. I own his book & I intend on reading it asap. I know it will provide necessary & edifying clarity to the coming eschatological timeline--which is why I'm already looking forward to volume two of the book series.

The Truth IS Out There!!

I am excited and also blown away at how Alexander Lawrence opens up the scriptures. His knowledge of the Scriptures is amazing. God has truly blessed him, and thankfully he now blesses us -- me, at least!! Thank you!! for your insights and wisdom, and for sharing these with us. I'm also glad to find out he's a prepper and encourages us all to prepare, which I already embrace.

Rocking Truth!!!!

I really appreciate the insight Watchman Alexander shares. Haven’t missed a podcast yet! It’s great to know there’s someone like him that graciously challenges our thinking and encourage us to really study the Bible instead of just routinely surface reading such a precious book that’s filled with rich insight on the plans and the heart of God, and to make us wise as serpent and gentle as doves. Watchman Alexander makes it plan to understand. I also enjoy the quick session Amanda shares in the podcast. Helps us to reflect on where our hearts should be for God, for others and for ourselves. It’s good to understand how to express the love of Yeshua the Messiah. Thanks for taking the time to research and share what God has taught the both of you!
