Kev and Randy take to the mics once a week to talk about a song from the catalogue of the enigmatic, brilliant, and sometimes flawed rock legends Queen. Each week a song will be chosen at random so that the boys won't know what track they'll be reviewing. Kev comes into the podcast as a Queen afficionado, while Randy is a more casual fan, but has a huge wealth of knowledge about recording, performing, and music in general.     My Fairy King

    To the last I grapple with thee; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee, from Pincher Creek I, pod at thee!     Two hundred episodes. We've mainly talked about Queen, but we've also talked about pie, cake, the weather, the church of go f**k yourself, November Rain, the dentist, soup, recording techniques, and so much more. Kev went International, Randy went to Winterpeg, Manitsfrozen. We've had ups, downs, and side to sides. What better way to celebrate our 200th episode than bring in our pal Corey Morrissette to make sure we don't get too big for our boots and put us, very firmly, back in our place!? As always, Corey has concocted a game that Kev is likely going to struggle with and as always, this delights Randy! A massive thanks to everyone who took some time to leave us a message or a voice recording for this landmark - we very seriously love you all and love that we found you and have such a wonderful community.     You and I Me and you Ramble on with missing screws I wouldn't change it You wouldn't want me to You and I Me and you That poem is called "The intergalactic futility of trying to shave a monkey - in three parts - wherein our hero finds himself at something of a loose end on a rainy weekend in a galaxy a trillion light years from home" and I think it's rather beautiful. This week we wrap up another album by taking a listen to Deacy's only contribution to A Day at the Races.     Dreamers Ball

    Kev's worried that Randy is going to start charging him by the word during the podcast. Luckily, The Cardinal does give Captain Spreadsheet two bits of advice for free, so there's that. There's a bit of food chat, a bit of movie/music chat, and we listen to a little bit of a track by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard... Today's episode revisits Jazz and, for once, Randy doesn't wang on about what a ridiculous title it is for a rock n roll album. But we're not exactly in rock n roll territory here. Freddie slips on the old soft shoe and Brian stacks up the guitars like it's 1975 all over again. It's not. It's 1979. Then, I mean, not right now. Right now it's 2026. That's a long time ago eh... man time flies... If I were to title this episode, I’d probably call it “Bonkey Dalls”, or possibly, “Put that on a t-shirt and wear it”.     We covered a Queen song, yada yada yada, it's from Hot Space, yada yada yada... Right. We need to talk about this vicious attack on Kev's reputation and character that was perpetrated by the coward, Sean McGinity of the SeanGeek and FastFret podcast. Apart from the disgraceful lyrics in this week's lead out song, he rubs salt in the wounds by re-lyricing a f*****g Kiss song? Worse yet, a song sung by Gene "the hairy, unevolved simian" Simmons???? Mark my words McGinity, retribution is coming. You won't know where. You won't know when. You won't know which podcast. But it's coming. You have offended my honour sir! I demand satisfaction. Today's episode wraps up Hot Space and it ekes just marginally over the 55% score from us. We know that many people love this song but, like marmite, lots of other people think its inedible gack. Which side of the fence will Kev and Randy fall on???     We're heading way, way back this week. Further back than we've gone on the pod so far. Before Kev was born. Even before Randy was born!!! We're talking about one of the greatest voices ever captured on record singing a song that neither The Cardinal nor Captain Spreadsheet have ever heard before. So it should be a wheez. We ended up listening to the song twice but in two different versions. You'll have to tune in to find out why! If Kev were to title this episode, he'd probably call it "Them There Eyes", or possibly, "These Here Ears" The twenty sixth installment in this podcast-within-a-podcast covers asong submitted by Lyn DeAnda. The song is "Them There Eyes", originally published in 1930 and recorded, for the purposes of this podcast, by the legendary Billie Holiday!
