Michelle Lamphere is a woman changing the way the world sees women on motorcycles. Originally from the Black Hills of South Dakota, Ms. Lamphere set out with her partner to travel for 2 years through North and South America. She went on to write a guide book Tips for Traveling Overland in Latin America: Things I Wish I had Known Before I Rode My Motorcycle To Mexico, Central and South America as well as a memoir called The Butterfly Route. When she is not busy traveling and writing, she also is active in inspiring other women to take to the road in such groups as Women Riders World Relay.
