Bukky is an immigrant from Nigeria who was born into a family of healthcare practitioners and found value in helping clinicians and physicians with their business to focus on medical care.  She is a practice coach who leverages learning agility, critical analytic thinking, and strategic planning to achieve a positive outcome for her clients.
Bukky encourages us to follow a personal value framework and believe in ourselves to navigate our endeavors. If the door is closed, look for the open window to your dreams!

Oyinkansola “Bukky” Ogunrinde is the Founder and Chief Practice Transformation officer for FUNMI Healthcare Consulting, LLC, a consultancy specializing in the management of physician practice and ambulatory services. Currently, she serves as a senior practice coach for an organization that services over 500 healthcare organizations.
With about 12 years in healthcare administration and management, she specializes in providing leadership and management services in the areas of general administration, operations, financial management, business development, project management, and strategic planning.

Before now, she worked as the director of physician surgical operations during which she oversaw surgical departments including orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, genetics, nephrology, urology, gastroenterology, and general surgery in a pediatric healthcare system. She also served as the operations project manager during which she oversaw the management of strategic and operational alignment initiatives in another healthcare system’s long-term care division. As the planning & performance improvement leader, she oversaw some of both hospital and ambulatory-based clinical operation continuous improvement projects and business plans. As a management fellow, she led operational teams and facilitated business initiatives in a healthcare system that was undergoing an eight (8) hospital merger and acquisition process.

She is an active member of the community through various professional, civic, and volunteer efforts. She is the 2022 President of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) of the South Florida chapter – making her the first black woman to hold this office; a former board member and current member of the South Florida Chapter of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and; a member of the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Healthcare Services Executives (NAHSE).

Bukky has another passion - helping healthcare management students and emerging leaders in their professional development. This burning call to action is what guided her to co-create and co-direct the first in the nation- Remote Healthcare Administration Internship (RHAI), a successful endeavor undertaken to help those that lost their internships and fellowships as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. She practices a very simple personal philosophy – always be of service to others whenever you can.
