Whether from a romantic partner, an employer, service provider, or class bully, everyone has felt victimized at some point in their lives. But some people have been victimized to their very cores by the very people who should have protected them most. This causes life altering emotional and physical trauma that can last a lifetime. Whether this is your story, somewhat your story, or the story of someone you know, victimization has touched all of our lives in some way. Victims come in many forms and from all walks of life, but they often share the same sense of not having a voice...of not being heard. My guest today was a victim and had every reason to stay one. But, instead, she decided to not only make her own voice be heard, but she is now a voice for other victims as well.

My guest today, Anika (Nikki) Ransom is an Abuse Recovery Coach and Counselor who also teaches Trauma-Informed Yoga which can be used to assist those who have been abused regulate their emotions. Nikki's passion in life is to help heal women who have suffered from abuse or dysfunction and enhance their well-being through her counseling, coaching, and support. Nikki is a survivor of sexual abuse, and domestic violence who made a decision to pull herself out of a world that attempted to keep her bound in the dysfunction that she now helps others get out of. Nikki is a Savvy Mogul who is Making Moves and giving a Voice to those who have yet to recognize their own yet. She is an inspiration, reminding us that we can choose whether or not we remain in the victim state and we can also choose whether or not our voices are heard!
