Two long-time friends talk, argue, laugh, and reminisce about movies. And sometimes other stuff. You will like it or your money back.
Quarantine Podcast Part 3
In the final installment of our Quarantine mega-episode, Andy and Phil tackle other viewers' questions. What's a good movie to watch with my kids that I won't get sick of? What are some great romantic comedy tropes? And more, including maybe the single greatest question we think we've ever been asked. Get excited, folks, because we end this incredibly long 3-parter with some dynamite stuff. But, hey... you knew we would.
Quarantine Podcast Part 2
In the second part of Second Breakfast's quarantine mega-episode, Phil and Andy finish off their "quarantine film festival" — 1 film per genre, perfect to watch while stuck in your house. There are many, many genres, but they even manage to come up with a few that were missed by the listener who gave us this challenge! And that's all we do, so... enjoy Part 2, and get ready for Part 3 in a few days!
Quarantine Podcast Part 1
Well, folks, it's been a VERY long time, but Second Breakfast is back! Join us as Phil and Andy discuss the perfect quarantine film festival — a single film for just about every genre you can think of. It's so much fun that we don't get all the way through! (Don't worry... we'll be back in a few days with the next installment. We promise.)
Project Throneway 4, "You Win or You Die" & "The Pointy End"
Second Breakfast covers two episodes of Game of Thrones this week. There's boobs, blood, and ice zombies. So it's basically perfect! Also, we discuss the World Series and Robert Guillaume. Enjoy!
Project Throneway 3, "A Golden Crown"
Phil and Andy discuss the Game-of-Throniest Game of Thrones episode yet, with gory and brutal violence, questionable gender politics, and utterly gratuitous nudity. (It is, obviously, fantastic.) There's also a bit about Oscar Isaac, because why not. Enjoy Project Throneway, brought to you by Second Breakfast!
Project Throneway 2, "The Wolf and the Lion"
On the latest episode of Second Breakfast, Phil and Andy continue the discussion of Game of Thrones, with the amazing episode The Wolf and the Lion. Featuring brutal fight scenes, terrible matte paintings, and killer acting, this episode is a great one... and so is the discussion! Also in this episode: really long diversions about Helen Hunt, James L. Brooks, and bourbon.
I remember nothing
I love this podcast dangerously funny
Got into it by listening to swish and flick, so I would then rotate
Swish and flick
Until I felt like I needed stitches in my sides
One way of looking at movies is to say that there is a set of movies that you can't miss. I've had people say to me things like: "You haven't seen ______!? How is that possible? What is wrong with you?"
The reason I love the Second Breakfast podcast is that I don't finish an episode thinking how behind on seeing movies I am. Instead, I finish it feeling really excited for the next possible time when I can see a movie and enjoy it as much as Andy Roth and Phil Devaul enjoy seeing and talking about their favorites.
Though they just produced their 200th episode, you shouldn't feel that you have to catch up on everything you've missed. Just give a listen to an episode that catches your eye.
Like with good movies, Andy and Phil just want you to enjoy yourselves with the podcast. You can do much, much worse than spend some time in the virtual presence of two good (and hilarious) friends that really like what they do.
