    69. Create Inner Calm Quickly with Micro Meditations with Ann Swanson

Sometimes starting something like meditation can seem overwhelming, or too time consuming. That's where Ann Swanson and mini meditations come in. Life these days is busy, and to fit something else in can feel like a big ask. What if you could do meditations anywhere, anytime? What is those meditations instantly made you feel better? At peace, calm and like the best version of yourself?
And what if it all felt easy and actually helped you create MORE time in your life?

That's what Ann's meditation approach is all about. Her beautiful voice alone invoked huge calm and ease, and our conversation dove into allll the objections to meditation and all the questions about how and why it works so well.

In the episode we get into:
How meditation actually creates MORE timeThe science behind yoga and meditation and why they help so muchUsing meditation in everyday life and everywhere you goMeditations for stress, sports, relationships, dating, kids, work - anything! How to customize what's the best way for you to meditate and what areas it can help you withWhat exactly are mini meditations and why they're so effectiveHow the brain's state changes while you're meditatingDo you need to let go of thoughts in meditation? I've been a huge proponent of meditation for a while, but I still learned so much in this conversation! The big take away - make meditation work for you and you always can find a minute or two. Just breathe deep and feel the calm sink in.

    67. *Raw and Unfiltered* - The Magic of Chanting with Kimberly Braun

    67. *Raw and Unfiltered* - The Magic of Chanting with Kimberly Braun

In this episode, we totally break with tradition and have shared the raw, unfiltered version with you. When I went back to edit, there was just too much amazing background  conversation that I really wanted to share.

Kimberly Braun had been a guest previously. As a TED X speaker, mystic, teacher, author, former nun, minister, and so much more, we had a heart expanding conversation on episode #66 that ended up talking about her experience with chanting.
I've been curious about chanting for a while and really wanted to go deeper with this, so asked her to come back on the show and share some chants with us.

As we prepared, we ended up talking in beautiful detail  about what the chants mean, the history and origin of each chant and the best way to experience them.

So not only will you get the opportunity to experience several different kind of chants, but you'll have some further insight into what feelings they may evoke and what the intentions were behind them.

What a beautiful gift for Kimberly to come back and share this with us. I really leaned in to the feelings and experience and loved every minute. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
