Unique and Beneficial for Understanding True Islam
Dr. Abou el-Fadl is a unique Islamic scholar who both excelled in Islamic traditional sense and academically, yet never take an ‘holier-than-thou’ approach even though he is one of few “legit” Islamic jurists in residing the Western world.
He is also generous in sharing his Islamic knowledge to lay Muslims, like me, and occasionally became a pariah for his ‘non-conformist’ views of Islam and Muslims.
Occasionally he got threatened by tyrannical Muslims, or others, for raising awareness and advancing social justice causes in Middle East. I have benefitted much from his lectures and classes in learning Islam, from ‘non-orientalized’ angle in the past years.
In my humble opinion, he is quite one of few Muslim giants in 21st century. His intellectual works pretty much positioned him as an Imam of Imams. A rare gem/resource for anyone who is interested in learning and claiming the beautiful offers of Islam.
Bad audio quality.. amazing lectures
Contents are amazing but why is the audio quality soooo horrible?? It is 2019, please invest in a better recording system.
I have beneffited immensely from this scholars work. This podcast is a gift.
