EP 73. Self Proclaimed Snow Goose Capitol of the US, Kenmare, ND

Duck Season Somewhere

Following a couple days event-filled mornings hunting snow geese, honkers and ducks, Ramsey meets with new friends Tom Mau and Monte Brekhus in Kenmare, North Dakota. Kenmare is genuine small-town America and the self-proclaimed Snow Goose Capitol of The United States. It says so on a sign, the water tower in center of town is adorned with geese, and the local football team is named the Honkers. What's it like growing up here? Why is goose hunting integral to the local culture and what attracts so many waterfowl to the area? What is GooseFest and what are these locals thoughts on outsiders hunting here? Pull up a chair and listen to another great conversation as Ramsey's 2020 North America Waterfowl Road Trip continues.
