Launching Reviews With Dan Parsons and Melissa Addey: Beginners Self-Publishing Podcast
In today's Beginners Self-Publishing Podcast: launching reviews. Selling books can be a tough gig for authors who are yet to attract an audience. When you’re unknown, you need reviews to get sales. But you also need sales to get reviews. Thankfully, there are ways to break out of this vicious cycle.
In this episode, ALLi’s Product Marketing Manager Dan Parsons and Campaigns Manager Melissa Addey discuss a few time-tested ways authors with no contacts and a shoestring budget can accumulate early reviews, including strategies to maximize both their quantity and quality.

Customer Reviews
6 stars!
This podcast is EXCEPTIONAL! I only found it a month ago and have been blown away by the amount of selfless hours these authors have put into giving out hard earned information and at no cost to listeners. I’m going to support them any way I can. I’ve found you can easily navigate through episodes to find the ones that pertain to you and your current state in the publishing process. A heartfelt THANK YOU for your contribution!
A Nice Twist to Their Delivery
The content is excellent — learning first hand from successful authors in various genres is always helpful. They have a method of delivering a number of their podcasts where the host summarizes what the next question is and then we hear the author's response. It's not a direct back and forth — which is also good — but I do like the host giving a clean statement of the question and then the author's answer.
Good stuff. Five stars for sure.

just trying to keep up
I have no idea what an automated versus a manual campaign is.
you need to divide your Podcasts into beginning intermediate and advanced and also define what those terms are actually going to mean in terms of your audience. there’s so much jargon in some of these podcasts that I just zone out.
