Consistently getting better

I’ve admired Clarke for years and enjoyed her performances in the Movie Trivia Schmoedown, her hosting in the late but indelibly charming Collider Nightmares and her many appearances as a commentator and horror expert throughout the internets but this is her most remarkable work to date. Her passion for film is inspiring, her knowledge impressive and her easy personality and contagious laughter are often a welcomed break during heavier discussions. Although she has always been a competent host, in the beginning, Clarke’s elocution and her ability to stick with a comment or idea from its inception to its conclusion were inconsistent and she tended to deviate from the topic at hand. However, I’ve noticed a tremendous improvement during this last year and I am happy to report that eloquence can now be added to her already long and ever-growing list of assets. She has become a fine conversationalist and a perspicacious host. The format of the podcast is fun and guarantees interesting discussions. I would recommend this podcast to any cinephile :) If Clarke ever reads these, I just want to say I am so proud of you for continuously getting better. You’re inspiring!

Genuine excitement

Clarke’s excitement to discuss these films with her guests is infectious. A fun listen for any movie fan.

I think Clarke needs to let her speak guests more

I came to this podcast bec I’ve listened to Clarke as guest on a couple of other podcasts & thought the idea of the podcast was cool. However, the problem with Clarke conversational style. If someone picks a movie she doesn’t like or says an opinion she disagrees with, she gets on the offensive & picks whatever it is they like apart so much that end up having to justify their opinion or be apologetic about it.
