Ep. 1 | Meet Dr. Kermit Gosnell
It was a routine drugs investigation until it wasn't. Drug investigators were targeting a Philadelphia drug ring pushing opioids. It was the biggest in the city and they believed it was being supplied by Dr Kermit Barron Gosnell - a much liked and respected physician operating the The Women's Medical Society Clinic.
Listen to the wiretaps, the secret recordings, and the dealer-turned police informants as investigators get closer to the source of the drugs flooding the city streets. But suddenly, one curious cop gets new information. The informants talk about a filthy clinic with unqualified staff and vague details about a dead woman. It's enough to make Detective Jim Wood want to investigate further. What is really going on behind those doors? Listen to the jailhouse interviews of Dr. Gosnell maintaining his innocence as investigators slowly realize that they might have accidentally uncovered a serial killer.

Great Work…
This is a political issue to some. Personally pure Crime and the Podcast does a great job lying out the facts.
Regretful listener
Warning: this podcast is the only I’ve listened to that I had to shut off because it was just too horrifying, and should have never been produced or edited with such disregard for the people involved. Like others have said, this is pushing a pro life agenda. However, I regret listening to this podcast not because of that. I regret it because I truly do not think certain parts of this podcast are meant for popular consumption. Re-enacted testimony from court documents are so disgusting and traumatizing to listen to that I truly see no benefit in listening to them. I think it was produced in way that did not honor the victims, the jury or the investigators and the story is sensationalized in a way that just feels wrong.
Why?
I have never given one star to a podcast before. This story should not have personal agenda inserted into it. The story is horrible let it speak for itself. Ep. 5: “Abortions were mandated in the U.S.”? What? Abortions have never been “mandated” in the U.S.. This isn’t journalism it’s a horrible story that should have been told with facts. It needs more focus on the victims. We heard about 1, who is dead. What about the countless others?
