We‘re Matt and Renee, and we love to paint, play, and talk about Warhammer! We mostly play AoS, but we also play 40k as well as a lot of the board games that Games Workshop puts out (and a few others). We‘re a family-friendly podcast which can be best described as PG-13. It is the grim dark, after all. We‘d like to thank you, truly, for taking the time to join us on our journey through the Mortal Realms (or 40k Grimdark, as it is). Our outlook is positive, our games are plentiful and our hobby table is full, so join us in our dungeon as we get Seriously Narrative.

Episode 9: Nova Narrative Exploits and Spelljammer

Welcome back to The Dungeon for Episode 9: Nova Narrative Exploits and Spelljammer.
First, I give a bit of an update about where I've been and how my hobbies have been treating me.  It's just me for a few minutes, but not that long (promise!).
Next, I have session 0 with Mike about Spelljammer.  He's a slime!
Finally, I talk with Evelyn about her experiences at Nova Open.  We hit everything from games, food, vendors, and even talk about the 1st Spelljammer session I had this Thursday.
Special thanks for this episode go out to my co-hosts for the episode, Mike and Evelyn, and my wife (through which all things are possible), Renee.

Welcome back to The Dungeon for Episode 8: The Road to Nova Open (Conventions In Rear Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear)
First, I give a bit of an update about where I've been and how my hobbies have been treating me.  This introduces the second season, and it really is important for where the podcast will be going as I move forward.
Next, I have an interview with my friend Mike where we talk about Nova Open and what we've been doing to prepare.  We're pretty excited.
Finally, I have a very special Session 0 for the new Spelljammer DnD campaign I'm going to run after Nova with my friend Allen.  Allen is playing a Thri-Kreen and you can check him out on twitch as CrusaderEffect.

Episode 7: Se7en Superficial Sibilants Supporting Slaanesh

Welcome back to The Dungeon for Episode 7: Se7en Superficial Sibilants Supporting Slaanesh
I know it's a superficial fallacy to attribute the holy number of one chaos god (that being, Nurgle) to another, but the delicious heresy is over the line just enough to appease Slaanesh.
Sorry for the wait guys, I wanted to get in a segment with Conor and also I wanted to make it so I could record on Sundays that aren't my DnD days.
First, we get into some hobby progress via the Anvil of Souls and games played.
After that, we talk about how we go about starting a new army and how that applies to Slaanesh.  I also talk with Conor from our local gaming group about the Warclans Battletome and his thoughts on their viability and how he got into the hobby.  Thanks for listening!
Special thanks for this episode go out to my co-host for the episode, Evelyn Tucker, and my wife (through which all things are possible), Renee Tucker.

Episode 6: A New Hope For Atrocities (in AoS)!

Welcome back to The Dungeon for Episode 6: A New Hope For Atrocities (in AoS)!
First, we get into some hobby progress and games played.  There’s even a “corrections corner” thanks to a keen-eared listener who e-mailed us about last episode.  Then, we take a bit of a dive into the lore of the Kruelboyz.
After that, we talk about atrocities in the Age of Sigmar.  Mostly, we focus on atrocities committed by the Order factions (because they should know better!).
This episode wraps up with a question-and-answer segment that is rolled into the atrocity segment.  Thanks for listening!

Episode 5: A Good Dia De Los Muertos to Die (Hard)!

Welcome back to The Dungeon for Episode 5: A Good Dia De los Muertos to Die (Hard)!
This time, we’re talking all about how all the factions of AoS might celebrate the Day of the Dead.  We also take an inside look at how most AoS factions deal with their dead and what rights and ceremonies they offer them. After that, I have a long narrative piece called “Nightmares and Realmscapes,” where three friends tell stories around a campfire.  Listener beware, you may be in for a scare.
This episode wraps up with a question-and-answer segment.  Thanks for listening!

Episode 4: A New (Stormcast) Hope

Episode 4: A New (Stormcast) Hope

Welcome back to The Dungeon for Episode 4: A New (Stormcast) Hope!
This time, we’re talking all about Stormcast, exposing all of Sigmar’s secrets.  We talk a bit about how they came to be, how they started, where they’ve been (and what they’ve been doing), and where they are going from 1st to 3rd edition.  I think you will be surprised at all the interesting details behind their story and how it has evolved over the years.  We hope you enjoy this deep dive into the (serious) narrative behind the Stormcast Eternals. After that, I have a small narrative piece called “Streaks of Grey,” where a Stormcast Eternal struggles with the humanity he sees around him.
This episode wraps up with a question-and-answer segment.  Thanks for listening!NB: One or more of the audio sections may be slightly quieter than others.  That was a recording…incident, (shall we say) and hopefully won’t happen again.  Sorry!
Special thanks for this episode go out to my wife (through which all things are possible), Renee Tucker.

One of the good ones

This is a really good podcast to listen to, not only is it informative and interesting but it get you into the mood to hobby. Great for car rides or playing in the background when painting. They have great audio quality throughout the entire podcast and good volume control when doing transitions. This is one that I will be following along with and enjoying hearing them grow. 10/10 Keep up the great podcast!
