The Messiah: Exploring the Covenant of Peace
This week Rev. Dr. Iosmar Alvarez begins our new sermon series “Advent: A Season of Expectations”. Dear brothers and sisters, today we gather to explore the profound covenant of peace established by the Messiah, who’s coming was foretold by the prophets and fulfilled in Jesus Christ. As we delve into the scriptures, particularly Isaiah 9:6-7. We will unravel the divine plan of salvation, and the covenant promises that God has made with humankind throughout history. From the covenant with Adam to the establishment of the New Covenant through the Messiah, we witness the unwavering love and grace of God and the manifestations of His covenant with us.

The Blessings of Responsible Stewardship
This week Rev. Dr. Iosmar Alvarez finishes our Stewardship Campaign sermon series “Kingdom Wealth and Stewardship”. possessions. We will be recognizing that our role as stewards is to faithfully manage the resources entrusted to us by God, using them wisely for His purposes. By trusting that as we are faithful in stewarding what we have, God can bless and multiply our resources, enabling us to be more effective in His Kingdom’s work. We understand that responsible stewardship will lead to heavenly rewards as we hear the Lord's "Well done" and share in His eternal joy.

We will be recognizing the potential harm that the love of money can cause, leading to spiritual bondage and the neglect of one's faith. By cultivating a heart of integrity in handling money, being content with what we have, and avoiding the temptations of materialism and excessive consumerism. We need to prioritize the pursuit of spiritual growth and investing in activities that have a lasting impact rather than acquiring temporary earthly possessions.

The Heart of Radical Generosity
This week Rev. Dr. Iosmar Alvarez continues our Stewardship Campaign sermon series “Kingdom Wealth and Stewardship”. Throughout history, tithing has held a profound significance. We learned last week about tithing in response to God’s victory and his faithfulness (500 years before the law) with Abraham, and in response to a promise/God's vision in the House of God with Jacob represents a historic appreciation for God's provision and blessings. We also discussed tithing under the law commanded by Moses. Tithing has been an integral part of the worship and obedience to God. Emphasizing the provision of the Levites, the maintenance of the Tabernacle, and support for pilgrimages and feasts.
