    God and Your Sex Life

    For many, sexuality and sexual experience are compartmentalized away from God. Today, we want to invite you to sit with us as we discuss how God is interwoven throughout every area of our lives, including (and most importantly for this podcast) our sexual intimacy with our husbands.

    From the Bible
    Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (NASB)
    But now, this is what the Lord says—
        he who created you, Jacob,
        he who formed you, Israel:
    “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
        I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
    When you pass through the waters,
        I will be with you;
    and when you pass through the rivers,
        they will not sweep over you.
    When you walk through the fire,
        you will not be burned;
        the flames will not set you ablaze.
    Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
        and because I love you,
    I will give people in exchange for you,
        nations in exchange for your life.
    Isaiah 43:1-2,4

    Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 9:6-11
    Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 (ESV)

    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
    Where can I go from your Spirit?
        Where can I flee from your presence?
    If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
        if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
    If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
        if I settle on the far side of the sea,
    even there your hand will guide me,
        your right hand will hold me fast.
    Psalm 139:7-10
    And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 1 John 4:16

    There are a lot of resources about sex now, some great and some terrible. But often, resources have some important truths, some debatable points, and some myths. Today we want to talk about what really matters—the foundational points we want wives to know about sex.
    From the Bible
    What does God have to say about sex?
    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23
    Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

    About this episode
    We understand the struggle wives often have with their body image and how it affects their sexuality. Today we want to revisit this topic to discuss how we can finally embrace our bodies and get comfortable being naked with our husbands.

    Why is having a positive body image such a challenge for women? What can we do to combat messages that make us feel worse about ourselves? Do we have any responsibility to take care of our bodies? Despite how we feel about ourselves, most husbands find their wives beautiful. But what about the wife whose husband criticizes her appearance? What advice from your own journey would you give to help a wife embrace a positive body image?

    rom the Bible
    What does God have to say about body image?

    For you created my inmost being;
        you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
    I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
        your works are wonderful,
        I know that full well.
    Psalm 139:13-14

    About this episode
    Today we’re talking about something that most women are thinking about at this time of year — taking better care of our health. If you’re like us, you’re probably thinking about getting in shape, eating a healthier diet, getting more sleep, or losing some weight over the next few months.

    And your reasons, like ours, are probably pretty straightforward — you want to look better. You want to feel better. You want to have more energy. And you want to avoid getting sick.

    But there’s a bonus reason for taking care of your health that you may not know about — improving your sex life.

    So let’s talk about some of the ways that good health can lead to better sex and intimacy in your marriage.

    From the Bible What does God have to say about this?
    "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies," 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

My girlfriends at the kitchen table

I am loving this podcast and I feel like I’m hanging out with my friends and talking about this super important issue of intimacy in our marriages! My husband and I are focusing on intimacy so much more and we are watching God prove the power of this special connection in what we are calling our “sexperiment.” Lol! I am noticing I feel much less anxious, more trusting of and united with my sweet man and a tenderness to his ways that I really needed. He says he feel more confident and less afraid of failure, as well as, looking forward to more frequent time of intimacy together. I am noticing he pays more attention to me and is thoughtful about me and I am loving that! This connection truly fuels Gospel power and I’m so thankful to you for helping us learn and grow! God bless you❤️✝️

Love this so much!

I wish I had this podcast when I was a newlywed! This is a great way the older can teach the younger and give wisdom in this very taboo area unfortunately the church doesn’t talk about.

Mentors every woman needs

This podcast has been so helpful. If you’re quiet and reserved like me and don’t have a group of women to comfortably talk to about sex and marriage issues, you need to listen. I’ve not only learned so much but I’ve also been able to become more comfortable with my sexuality and more willing to explore it. I hate to think of where I would still be if I hadn’t started listening.
