    God Keeps Promises: The Story of Joseph | KIDS SUNDAY

    Joseph's story in Genesis is a powerful reminder that God always keeps His promises, even when circumstances suggest otherwise. Sold into slavery by his own brothers, falsely accused, and thrown into prison, Joseph endured thirteen years of hardship before seeing God's plan unfold. Through every trial, he remained faithful, and God ultimately elevated him to a position of great authority in Egypt. When his brothers came to him desperate for food, Joseph responded not with revenge but with grace, recognizing that God had been at work through it all. His life points directly to Jesus Christ, who was also rejected and suffered unjustly, yet rose to offer salvation and forgiveness to all. Just as Joseph's crumpled circumstances became part of a greater design, our own hardships do not disqualify us in Christ. They become part of the story He is writing. God has never broken a promise, and He is not about to start now.

    What Happens When You Fail Jesus? | John 21

    Everyone fails, and sometimes that failure feels like it defines us forever. But the story of Peter in John 21 shows us that Jesus does not abandon those who have fallen short. After Peter denied Jesus three times, Jesus met him not with condemnation but with a charcoal fire, a warm meal, and a simple question: do you love Me? Three times Jesus asked, matching each denial with an act of restoration. He did not ask Peter to prove himself or promise he would never fail again. He simply called him back into purpose with the same words He used at the very beginning: follow Me. Your failure does not have to be the end of your following.

    What Has Your Attention? What Mary and Martha Teach Us About Distraction

    It is easy to fill your days with good things and still miss the most important thing. In Luke 10, Mary and Martha both love Jesus, but only one of them has her attention in the right place. Martha is busy serving, yet her focus drifts from Jesus to her circumstances, leading to comparison and resentment. Mary, on the other hand, sits at His feet as a true disciple, fully present and being changed by Him. The warning is clear: you can be busy for Jesus and still miss being with Jesus. Serving Him does not automatically mean you are paying attention to Him. Jesus gently calls Martha, and all of us, back to what matters most. Choose the better thing by giving Jesus not just your activity, but your attention.

    What Do You Need Most From Jesus? | Mark 2:1–12

    We often come to God with a list of urgent needs, whether it is a health crisis, a broken relationship, or financial pressure. But in Mark 2, when four friends carried a paralyzed man to Jesus by lowering him through a roof, Jesus did something unexpected. Instead of healing the man's body first, He forgave his sins. Jesus saw what the man came for, but He also saw what the man needed most. Our deepest need is not relief from pain. It is restoration to a right relationship with God. The same Jesus who told that paralyzed man to rise is speaking to us today, and He wants to heal not just what hurts the most, but what matters the most.

    What to Do When Your Faith Isn't Enough

    What if the storm you are in right now is not a sign that God is absent, but proof that He is at work? Peter had enough faith to step out of the boat, but when the waves got louder than the voice calling him forward, he started to sink. And Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. Not eventually. Immediately. Following Jesus is not about having a perfect faith. It is about trusting a perfectly faithful Savior. What is the one step He is calling you to take today?

    Woe, Lo, Go

    Isaiah 6 records one of the most powerful encounters with God in all of Scripture. When Isaiah is brought into the throne room of God, he is immediately overwhelmed by divine holiness and driven to confess his own sinfulness. But God does not leave him in his guilt. A seraph touches his lips with a coal from the altar, and his sin is forgiven. Cleansed and free, Isaiah hears God's call and responds without hesitation. This same pattern, recognizing our sin, receiving God's grace, and responding to His call, is the path every believer walks. God is still asking today, 'Whom shall I send?' and He is waiting for us to answer.

    Wrestling with God

    Jacob's story in Genesis 32 is a powerful picture of what happens when a lifetime of striving finally meets surrender. Known as a deceiver and manipulator, Jacob spent his life grasping for blessings God had already promised him. At the ford of the Jabbok, alone and afraid, he wrestled through the night with God and refused to let go until he received a blessing. God responded not just by blessing him, but by giving him a new name and a new identity. The wound Jacob carried afterward was not a sign of defeat. It was a reminder of the night everything changed. Releasing control, persisting in faith, and being made new are not just lessons from an ancient story. They are an invitation extended to each of us today.

    Risk the Reach

    There is a big difference between bumping up against Jesus and actually reaching for Him. You can go to church, read your Bible, and still just be going through the motions. Two people in Mark 5 decided that getting to Jesus was worth risking everything. One risked his reputation. One risked being seen. Both found that He was worth it. What is keeping you in the crowd?
