Shake Them Ropes is a pro wrestling podcast hosted by Jeff Hawkins and Chris Novembrino. Each week, we dive into the top stories in professional wrestling and opine on whatever's on our mind from the week in professional wrestling television (and sometimes even Jeff's beloved 80s wrestling) with a light hearted take on the performance aspects of the product. Check us out on Twitter @ShakeThemRopes!

STR. Liars and Stooges
This week: Punk wants back in, Vince pays the price of admission, Goldberg is a free agent and more in news. Then the LAZY RIVER OF WRESTLING CRITICISM: Should Chris have to Google a main eventer? Did they finally figure out how to build Jade? What was that NXT show? All of that and more.

STR. Same But Different
This week: Chris makes the case that Revolution would have been more narratively satisfying if the main event ended at 60 minutes. Do the Bloodline story and the Hangman/Elite story have the same flaws? John Cena returns and cuts the most Rock-like promo, Dynamite had great promos and weak ending, and we ask if Lynyrd Skynyrd is the most misunderstood band in rock history.

STR. Grand Theft Auto
Jeff's car was stolen (and found), but he and Chris muscle through the week in news, end with a Revolution preview where we ask the questions about AEW growing popularity. In between a LAZY RIVER OF WRESTLING CRITICISM that includes: the Moist Wrestling League?

STR. FFS
On this week's STR, not a lot of news so a lot on THE LAZY RIVER OF WRESTLING CRITICISM. ICE COLD TAKES on a fun Elimination Chamber, Sasha/Kairi was great, OC/Yuta was great and the promos and storytelling had a lot to be desired. MJF is now a sociopath, Paul Heyman is going to "sleep" with Brandy and Aunt Pam and the Man are doing prop comedy, what are we doing? Nov takes SRS to task a bit, Vince isn't in creative, Jeff continues to tell you to watch Emi Sakura and he sneaks his Freebirds viewing in as well.

STR. Veriisimilitude
This week: the WWE has a price, Jerry Jarrett passes away, Tony Khan's looking for a fight. Then on the LAZY RIVER OF WRESTLING CRITICISM: Jeff's been watching old Freebirds, Wardlow promo, bad characterization across the board with Jacey, Kayden, Kitana, the Blackpool Combat club, etc. Plus we preview the Elimination Chamber and how WWE is going to troll Montreal this time.

Wonderful
This is the only podcast I keep up with every week. The dynamic between Rob and Jeff is hilarious. Most wrestling podcasts have become overwhelming negative but STR has a good balance. I usually save it for a commute and it does not disappoint.
Edited in 2021: it’s ok. They have bad takes though. I kid.
Dr. Nov to the rescue!
Jeff, thank you for the phenomenal upgrade in co-hosts! You two are the only reasons to waste a second on RAW.
Great banter
Great hosts and a fun show
