If you’re subscribed to the podcast, you may have noticed a lengthy hiatus — putting together a podcast takes a lot of time and with 2020 being what it was, I needed that break. But I’m excited to be back with a new episode and hope to keep new episodes coming in 2021. However, I’m taking a relaxed approach to producing and publishing the podcast, so staying subscribed in your podcast app of choice is the best way to know when a new episode is out!

Diane is perfect!

Diane is the perfect hostess for this podcast! Not only is she a lovely person on Instagram, but she is also a brilliant interviewer. I love hearing these “backstories” to how books have influenced so many bright and intelligent people. Well done Diane!

Charming, Insightful, Nostalgic

I absolutely love Shaped by Stories! As a lifelong reader, it is delightful and perfectly nostalgic to revisit favorite books from childhood. And it’s captivating to learn about each guest! I love getting to know them: hearing about their lives, the way reading/books played into the way they grew up/who they grew into, and the way stories continue to shape their lives.

I’m also really fond of the insightful, in-depth conversations about the literature itself. You get to see old stories from new eyes, and the different perspectives/perceptions makes one’s enjoyment for these already-beloved novels all the richer.

Diane is such a charming and lovely host, and each episode of Shaped by Stories feels like sitting down and having the kind of deep conversations with bookish, kindred spirit friends you’ve always dreamed about.
