Bitachon, trust, is one of the most essential and fundamental aspects of the Jew's relationship with his Creator. The more one develops his trust, the more Hashem shows him that He is personally involved in his life. This trust has many advantages, many of which are explored in this podcast. The style of the podcast is based on the tradition of teaching Bitachon received from Rabbi Yechiel Perr, who in turn received it from Rabbi Aron Kotler. This style includes real-life examples and stories, beside textual-based lessons in developing trust in Hashem.

This indicates that whatever happens in our life - Hashem is blazing our path and guiding us to the future He envisions for us. We need not put in the greatest of efforts, but rather, we are to trust in His plan for us.

We continue exploring the passuk in Tehillim ch. 37 passuk 7 where King David says that we are to be quiet and hope to Hashem. This indicates that although it seems others are succeeding without depending on Hashem, we need to know that the Jewish people's success comes in the end when we are totally dependent on Hashem.

Bitachon 154 - Gradually Developing Bitachon

We explore the next passuk in Tehillim ch. 37 passuk 6 where King David says that the one who trusts in Hashem - Hashem will cause their light to come out and shine like the afternoon sun. This expresses the gradual nature of our work on Bitachon - we can not skip steps, just as the sun does not shine all at once, but rather the light of the day develops as the day progresses.

Bitachon 153 - Always Start Alongside Hashem

We continue exploring the passuk in Tehillim ch. 37 passuk 5 which speaks of the idea to 'roll your ways onto Hashem.' The result is that 'when you trust in Him, he will do it.' This brings to the fore that we must always make sure that our intention in all our deeds is to serve Hashem. Furthermore, the efforts we put in - when we determine that we need efforts of some sort - must never replace our belief that it is always truly Hashem who is doing it for us.

The Jewish Version of the Secret

A few years ago I read the book "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. It inspired me to know that the Universe would provide me with whatever I asked for. Being Jewish I felt that it was a little awkward because I was praying to the Universe rather than directly to G-d.
So, when I came across Ari Goldwag's podcast which the name translates into "Gates of Trust", it found the Jewish version of the Secret. Which makes a lot more sense to me as a Jew. Also, after listening to this I've found that things that I've been praying for have been coming true.

My advice is that when you listen to this podcast start with episode one. Otherwise, it is like reading a book and starting from the middle.

Also, Ari has a Facebook group where he posts his thoughts and also answers lots of questions.

I hope you find the answer to the Jewish Universal secrets just like I have.
