Sharing Authentically as a Cancer Advocate, the Highs and Lows of Being Vulnerable on Social Media, and the Realities of Fertility Preservation and Family Planning During and After Cancer The "Don't Call it a Journey" Podcast

“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” -Brene Brown

Our guest on the podcast today is Mindy Miller! She is a young adult breast cancer survivor who has openly shared her experience on social media in an effort to help others going through similar things. It takes a lot of courage to be that vulnerable, and I know that I personally have felt very validated in my own experience and emotions after reading Mindy’s words. Today we will be talking about her experience with cancer, when and how she decided to take her experience public in order to help others, and her journey with fertility preservation during cancer treatment…something that I think unfortunately isn’t discussed nearly enough.
