In today's hectic world, we long for a moment to catch our breath, relax, and take some time out for ourselves. Why spend that time alone when you can spend it in the company of a good book instead? This podcast will be devoted to a weekly book discussion of our current read. We'll cover many different types of books, including, but not limited to, romance, thrillers, suspense, and true crime. This differs than the typical book discussion because we gather weekly rather than monthly. I feel that getting together more frequently helps keep the interest in the book alive and moves the discussion along. I encourage feedback, comments, and answers to our discussion questions from the listeners. My goal is for this podcast to be interactive, with you, the listeners participating by answering our discussion questions or sending me comments or other insights you might have. Grab a cup of coffee, cappuccino, or a drink of your choice, relax in your comfortable chair, lose yourself in a good book, and join us for our discussions.

    Introductory Episode - 3/1/07 Welcome to Sharon's Bookshelf, a weekly book discussion podcast. You have come to the right place if you are looking for a relaxing and fun book discussion podcast that covers reading material in a wide number of genres. We will be reading works by such authors as Mary Higgins-Clark, Dean Koontz, Robin Cook, Sandra Brown, Ann Rule, and many, many more. Our reading list will be a well rounded one, which should cover most everyone's areas of interest. In each session, we will cover a few chapters at a time - probably about 5-6 chapters, maybe more. Discussion questions can be found below. I feel that getting together more often will keep our attention and interest in the book alive and will provide much more interesting topics for discussion. I want this podcast to be interactive, where you, the listeners provide answers to our discussion questions, comments about the show or insights on the books, or anything else you would like to share. So, grab a cup of coffee, a cappuccino, or another drink of your choice, relax in your comfortable chair, and join us for our weekly discussions. You can contact me via e-mail by clicking here. My voice mail number is 206-350-2613. When e-mailing, please include the word "podcast" in your subject line so it may be filtered into my special podcast folder. This will cut down on the chance of my overlooking someone's message or being sent to my spam folder. When leaving a voice mail message, please specifiy that this message is for Sharon's Bookshelf since I do a couple of other podcasts. Our first selection will be "Watchers" by Dean Koontz. You can find this book at your local library or purchase it from a bookstore, such as Barnes and Noble. You can also order it online at places such as Amazon.com. Discussion questions to follow soon. MP3 Link I look forward to getting together with you again soon. Sharon My Podcast Alley feed! {pca-001164a6619968293144a6286d74ecd5}
