Rafi Bastos
Rafi started Brazil's stand up scene, became a national icon, then moved to NYC to perfect his comedy in a second language. We hear his stories about importing an artform, transitioning from a national superstar to a local unknown, and getting sued for jokes. Maybe he'll get sued for this episode!

Jon Borromeo: Stand Up NY Chief of Staff, Talent, and Operation
Jon is delightfully transparent in talking about how he runs and books a top club in NYC. Great insights about the expendability of comedians, building work/social boundaries, and how he stumbled into comedy after working in oil and gas events and for (gasp) the RNC. He even shares some personal struggles about the party life catching up to him and coming out to the comedy community.

super interesting
so fun and funny and unique
Needs Work
Not bad, there are some awesome episodes that Matthew gives valuable advice on and his come up. The NACA one is great!! Some episodes you can barely hear him, they need to fix that. Sometimes they talk about swimming which is incredibly boring and pointless. Also they talk about orchestra and swimming on the Isabel episode for nearly the entire podcast, which lead to me unsubscribing along with most of my friends. It’s by far the worst episode yet.
Great guests!
Fun combination of tactical learning about the comedy space with interesting guests. Love the energy and can’t wait to see how it grows!
