Grand Trifles!

Like so many, I have been an admiring reader of Sherlock Holmes since I was a youngster. I will give any TV show or movie concerning this great literary invention at least a fighting chance before I deem it worthless. From the definitive Jeremy Brett evocation to two very different but (for me) equally interesting “Holmes in the modern world” efforts “Sherlock” and “Elementary” and every other version of the tales - I have discovered a lot of very capable entertainments generated by this character. So coming across this marvelous and oh-so-cozy podcast on this literary miracle, replete with a vast array of information and much humor was a thrill. Wonderful stuff, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to refresh their experience of or introduce themselves to this interesting and evergreen corner of British lit. Very good!

I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere and Trifles

“I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere” and “Trifles” are two outstanding podcasts for all devotees of Sherlock Holmes; old-timers and newbies alike. Scott and Burt are both extremely knowledgeable, informative, interesting and funny, and interview all of the key experts in the field of Sherlockian scholarship as well as lesser known Sherlockians with interesting collections of memorabilia. They highlight the many national conferences as well as upcoming movies. Trifles runs weekly and gives you fascinating details about the minutiae in the Canon (all 60 stories) and amplify on the many details you miss at first glance thus making the stories more enjoyable. I can’t wait to hear new episodes and enjoy listening to old broadcasts. If you love the shows, donate a $1 a show on Patreon. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth.
