A new way of looking at the workforce in shipping
A new way of looking at the people working in our organisations is to take a more human approach to work. Kriss Petersson is the Head of Talent and Culture at Aeler Technologies, not the Head of HR. Listen to Kriss explain how a more people—and culture-oriented mindset can change an entire industry.
She strives for diversity of thought and openness when scouting for new employees, but we must become more visible to attract young talent. We also need to listen to what the incoming generation seeks in an employer. Young people are looking for work flexibility, recognition, and professional development. Can we offer them that?

Excellent Podcast on Maritime and Shipping

I just discovered this and binge listened most of the episodes. This is an excellent crash course if you want to learn more about all aspects of the industry. Thanks a lot for doing this Lena!

Charming host, varied content, easy pace!

I am fascinated by ships, trade, and logistics, and this podcast has it all! There are so many aspects to the maritime industry that it’s hard to know where to begin. This podcast is an invaluable resource for helping picture the industry’s structure, for getting to hear real voices from the community, and for introducing concepts and organizations that an outsider wouldn’t have known to research on her own. Thanks so much for your thoughtful efforts, Lena!

Extremely helpful

The shipping podcast has given me insight to maritime world, and it has been a big reassurance of if joining the merchant marine is right for me. Right as of now, I am planning to attend Massachusetts Maritime Academy next fall. I absolutely love this podcast!
