This episode is based on a question that was submitted by one of our listeners. She said:

"Hi Sandra…I have also left the LDS church in the past year and have had a hard time sharing my feelings with other people. I’ve found that in the “Ex-Mormon” world, there are a lot of people who just don’t believe in God at all. I’m struggling to decide what I believe. I was taught that God was an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent being who knows everything about me and is intimately involved in my daily existence…and I don’t believe that at all. But I do believe in some sort of higher power. I feel a lot of pressure from other people who have left the church to give that up, however, and I think that’s part of the reason I’m hesitant to tell people I’m no longer a member—because I don’t really know what I believe anymore. My inner mean girl tells me that I should have this all figured out already. So how do I figure it out? And how do I find peace with my own beliefs when there are so many people out there telling me how I “SHOULD” believe?"

Join Sandra as she answers this question and introduces a concept called The God Project. If you've ever questioned your views about God, this episode is for you!

What are the masks that you’re wearing? And how much connection are you sacrificing so you can stay safe behind your masks? The truth is, vulnerability is essential to healing from trauma and abuse…and it’s also essential for creating connection. When you’re not vulnerable, you simply can’t grow. You can’t grow personally…you can’t grow in your relationships…you can’t grow in your career. Vulnerability—or the lack thereof—has a huge impact on the life you lead. Without vulnerability, there is no growth. Join Sandra in this powerful episode where she shares her personal experience with removing emotional masks and being willing to show up with authenticity and vulnerability.
