Black Mirror: S6E1: "Joan is Awful"

Black Mirror: S6E1: "Joan is Awful"

The siblings are excited to embark on their first sci-fi journey together as they begin their recap of the Netflix show Black Mirror, Season 6. Episode One (Joan is Awful) brings viewers on an awful journey in multiple dimensions with an involuntary participant. Cringe along as the sibs discuss the downfall and eventual redemption of a regular Jane, or in this case, Joan. Don’t miss commentary on the stellar casting, terrifying AI technology and terrible wig situation.

Stay tuned until the end for the sibling’s thoughts on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin, and HBO’s version of a gruesome tale based on true events, Love and Death.

Shadow and Bone: S2E8: “No Funerals"

Shadow and Bone: S2E8: “No Funerals"

It’s time for the final recap of season 2 of “Shadow and Bone,” “No Funerals.” The siblings laugh at the ridiculousness of the Darkling still trying to shoot his shot with Alina after everything that’s happened, their hearts break for Kaz when he finally tells Inej how he feels and she turns him down, and they do their best impression of what Alina was thinking in that final shot. They wonder if “Shadow and Bone” will get a third season and what it would entail, and MK begs the universe for a “Six of Crows” spinoff. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

They end with what they’ve been watching. Libby gives her thoughts on “The Great” season 3, Ted says he moderately enjoyed the movie “Ted,” and MK reviews the Amazon Studios horror movie “Nanny.”

Shadow and Bone: S2E7: “Meet You in the Meadow.”

Shadow and Bone: S2E7: “Meet You in the Meadow.”

This week, the siblings cover the penultimate episode of Shadow and Bone season 2, “Meet You in the Meadow.” MK rubs it in everyone’s faces that she always knew Nikolai loved Alina, they discuss the fact that you can respect bitches you also hate (bitch in question: Fruszi played by Rachel Redford), and MK and Libby drool over Tolya during his four-against-one fight scene.

At the end, Teddy talks (a lot) about “Rick and Morty,” MK delves into her review of “Scream VI,” and Libby discusses how she loved Netflix’s “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.”

Shadow and Bone: S2E6: “Ni Weh Sesh (I Have No Heart)"

Shadow and Bone: S2E6: “Ni Weh Sesh (I Have No Heart)"

In the latest episode, Sisters Who Saga (and their brother) recaps episode 6 of "Shadow and Bone" season 2, “Ni Weh Sesh (I Have No Heart).” The siblings love how Baghra makes Mal her errand (bitch) boy the entire episode, they debate the possible reasoning behind The Crows’ hallucinations, and they wonder what kind of “boning” is needed for Mal to pass his amplifier power to Alina.

Things get out of hand when Ted shares his theory about flying babies made of light, the crew breaks out into a performance of NSYNC’s “I Want You Back” (snapping included), and Libby shares a story about a man who had a butt plug in during an MRI. This episode is truly unhinged y’all. 😂

Then MK talks about how she finally started the NBC sitcom “Community,” Libby says she’s (still) watching “The Mandalorian,” and Ted brings up “Sweet Tooth” (again) and then talks about season 9 of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

Shadow and Bone: S2E5: "Yuyeh Sesh (Despise Your Heart)"

Shadow and Bone: S2E5: "Yuyeh Sesh (Despise Your Heart)"

This week, the team recaps the fifth installment of “Shadow and Bone” season 2, “Yuyeh Sesh (Despise Your Heart).” They discuss how Alina’s comical seduction of the Darkling reminds them of Jasmine seducing Jafar in “Aladdin,” Teddy teases his buddy cop fanfic about him and Mal, and Libby shares that she may be into the Darkling now that he has been knocked down a few pegs.

In the “What Has Enchanted Us” segment of the show, MK discusses the 2023 thriller film “Missing,” Libby highly recommends the HBO series “Somebody Somewhere” starring Bridget Everett, and Teddy cannot stop talking about how Netflix's “Sweet Tooth” will “knock your socks off.”

Shadow and Bone: S2E4: "Every Monstrous Thing"

In this episode, the siblings recap “Shadow and Bone” season 2 episode 4, “Every Monstrous Thing.” They discuss the chemistry between Alina and Nikolai, debate Kaz’s motivation behind his dismissal of Inej, and Libby reminds us not to sleep on the poet-loving Tolya, played by Lewis Tan.

At the end, Libby shares her review for Netflix’s “The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die,” aka Uhtred Son of Uhtred’s movie and Ted explains his love for the 2017 film “Kong: Skull Island” (not random at all).
